Panurala 077 : Tehuis voor oude priesters
Gelegen aan de Place de l'Evêché, tegenover het bisschoppelijk paleis, werd het tehuis voor oude priesters oorspronkelijk gesticht in 1252 door bisschop Walter van Marvis. Het bood onderdak aan “moegewerkte” geestelijken – oude of zieke priesters die hun actieve dienst hadden beëindigd.Het huidige gebouw op de locatie stamt grotendeels uit 1755-1760, ontworpen door Michel-François Playez en Emmanuel Van Dael. Later raakte het complex beschadigd en werd het, tot aan een brandbom tijdens de oorlog, gebruikt als opslagplaats voor het archief van de kathedraal.

Panurala 077 : Maison pour anciens prêtres
Située sur la Place de l'Évêché, en face du palais épiscopal, la maison pour anciens prêtres a été initialement fondée en 1252 par l’évêque Walter de Marvis. Elle accueillait des clercs « fatigués » – des prêtres âgés ou malades ayant terminé leur service actif. Le bâtiment actuel sur ce site date en grande partie de 1755-1760, et a été conçu par Michel-François Playez et Emmanuel Van Dael. Plus tard, le complexe a été endommagé et, jusqu’à un bombardement incendiaire pendant la guerre, il a été utilisé comme dépôt pour les archives de la cathédrale.

Panurala 077: Home for Elderly Priests
Located on the Place de l'Évêché, opposite the episcopal palace, the home for elderly priests was originally founded in 1252 by Bishop Walter of Marvis. It provided shelter for “weary” clergy – elderly or sick priests who had ended their active service. The current building on the site largely dates from 1755–1760, designed by Michel-François Playez and Emmanuel Van Dael. Later, the complex was damaged and, until a firebomb during the war, was used as a storage place for the cathedral archives.
