Kalos is one of my weaker regions unit-wise, so of course I jumped on the opportunity to get a better upgrade from the shop lol. Rotational pattern again so meh, but Area 1 Sprint + Strike does have the benefit of knowing the full pattern right from the start.

0:24 - Sprint + Strike vs. Kalos NC Battle Challenge - EX-R NC Silver / EX Ethan / Archer

Feels weird to use NC Silver this early lol. I usually used SS Gladion first for rotational patterns, but since I now have SS Nemona, those two work better together since their buffs complement each other.

1:53 - Strike + Tech vs. Steel-weak Glacia: EX-R SS Hau / EX-R Classic Blue / EX-R Anni Lillie

This would've been SC Barry but Steel-weak Glacia prefers special moves, and since I don't have an upgrade bonus I went with SS Hau instead. This definitely won't hinder me in the second Strike + Tech area, right?

3:41 - Tech + Support vs. Summer 2023 Battle Challenge: EX-R NC Hop / EX-R SS Silver / EX-R Tierno

Super annoying since across all of my Tech + Support units, I have none that induce status lmao. NC Hop at least has Piercing Blows in his B Move though so I rely on that here.

7:03 - Support + Field vs. NC Calem: EX Avery / EX-R Variety Thorton / EX BP Clemont

Had to be really selective of the Field and Sprint units I use for these next two stages since Area 10 for this pattern is Field + Sprint. Quite surprised that Avery was able to tank that sync but I'll take it.

10:09 - Field + Sprint vs. NC Bede: EX Event Victor / EX Volo / EX-R Red

See above. Victor's a real trooper for being able to finish the stage on his own.

13:08 - Sprint + Strike vs. Fighting-weak Wikstrom: EX-R SS Gladion / EX-R SS Nemona / EX-R Akari

Was about to riot since of course they would give me a zone-dependent stage right after the area with Field bonus, but then I remembered that this pattern doesn't have any Field + Strike stages, so Akari and Geeta were fair game. Went with the former for the upgrade bonus.

15:36 - Strike + Tech vs. NC Leaf: EX-R NC Cheren / EX-R SC Barry / EX May

Three NC stages in a rotation, ok 5th anni. This one was really annoying since my only options for weather that I wasn't planning on using in later stages were May and eggmons, so I had to reset until I got a pattern where May lived enough moves. SS Hau would've been great here for his debuffs and Cheren enabling but alas.

17:43 - Tech + Support vs. Ground-weak Steven: EX-R NC Serena / EX-R NC Calem / EX-R Arven

Much easier than it should be since the two frogs account for both upgrade bonuses. Think I deserve it after those three NC stages though lol.

20:24 - Support + Field vs. Strongest Fighters Battle Challenge: EX-R NC Bianca / EX-R SS Morty / EX-R NC Serena

Area 9 Battle Challenges are always nerve-wracking, but thankfully this is one of the easier ones. This was made for Dojo Gloria and SS Korrina, who I would've gladly picked for this stage but I don't have her EX role unlocked. So I reused NC Serena so that I can get both upgrade bonuses. I also reset for that Sunny Day MPR on Morty in case I needed to use him for the next stage.

23:27 - Field + Sprint vs. Thorton (Hard): EX-R Mix Blue / EX-R SST Red / EX-R SS Morty

And I did. VH was Palmer and while this is actually not a bad role combo for that stage, I don't have Rei invested, so I just went with Thorton since I didn't wanna bother lol.
