Phoenix Contact FL WLAN 1100 Industrial WiFi Set Up

In this video, we will set up an industrial wireless network using the Phoenix Contact WLAN 1100. Stay tuned for the other videos in this series.

Steps:
Plugin the ethernet cable into WLAN and PC that you will be using to perform the configuration on.
Wire 24vdc
Apply 24vdc to Factory Reset for 10 seconds
You will see a purple/violet light indicating factory reset mode enabled.
The device will be ready to accept IP Address via BootP
Wifi Signal will be disabled.
If WLAN 1100 is not given IP Address it will auto-assign an IP Address
Default IP Address will be set to 169.254.2.1
Change ethernet adapters IP address to 169.254.2.2
These should be the only IP Addresses on the network.
Then you can access the WLAN web interface with google chrome and the 169.254.2.1 IP Address.
You will then need to login to the web interface
Username: admin
Password: private

WiFi Signal:
Go to WLAN Interface in the configuration settings
Change operation Mode to “Access mode”
Change SSID if desired. SSID is cap-sensitive.
Change password to the desired password.
Save and Apply Changes

Change IP Address:
Go to Network in the configuration settings.
IP Address Assignment Change from BootP to Static
Change the IP Address to the scheme of your choice.
Save and Apply changes.
You will lose connection but if done properly you should be up and running.
