Cadash is an action RPG developed by Taito.
The Turbografx game, made by Taito and published by Working Designs in 1991, is a port of the 1989 arcade version.
Another port was released on the Megadrive in 1992.
In this RPG, at first we’ll have to choose to play as a fighter, a mage, a priestess or a ninja, looking for the traditional princess kidnapped by a monster.
Between each dungeon, there will be villages where you can buy equipment and supplies.
Given the presence of just one life and the lack of continues at disposal, Cadash is a really difficult game, that’s gonna require many attempts to be beaten.
The Megadrive port differs due to the possibility of playing with just two classes, fighter and mage, the simplification of some maps, the presence of 3 continues, and finally a better hit detection and the use of darker colours.
Except for the lack of continues, Cadash is a really enjoyable and interesting action RPG, which can also be played along with a friend.
Since 2020, the Turbografx port of the game is available on the PC Engine/Turbografx Mini console.
