SogeriNSoE 80th anniversary song. "Ulamagi Kapuna Sogeri."

I wrote this song for the Sogeri NSoE 80th anniversary. 1944 and beyond 🙏

This year, 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of SogeriNSOE. As we are about to become the 80th alumni of SogeriNSOE, I thought to myself to leave a legacy behind.

As a student leader, I wrote this song wholeheartedly and with great pride. The title of the song is "Ulamagi Kapuna Sogeri." The song is sung by Belinda Boga, Lakispot Andy Tete, and me (Alinama Sere). We are all grade 12 students in the era 2023-2024.

The Intro line is "Ulamagi kapuna and Maino Kapuna." The first line is inspired by the bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:13. It talks about faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of them all is love. Ulamagi is love in Aroma language. And Sogeri, as I would refer to, is a place of love. The people and the environment are just so exquisite that learning becomes enjoyable. Maino means peace. SogeriNSOE is a peaceful place where integrity and respect are qualities embedded in every student.

The 1st verse is inspired by the location of the school in Central province. It encompasses the Koiari, Hiri, Rigo, Abau, Goilala, and Kairuku district in Central.

The 2nd line is inspired by the motto of Papua New Guinea, "Unity in Diversity." It covers the 4 regions in Papua New Guinea.

The 3rd line is the 80th anniversary inspiration.
It means Sogeri, our school from 1944 to 2024, 80 years, come and let us celebrate.

The outro was put for performance purposes. We were supposed to dance as a region, and we are Southern Region.
