PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE: Ann Stevens House | Ghost Story Girl × Afterlife Allstars Investigation

Part II: Paranormal Activity in the Parlour + Upstairs 


Often, you pick up on contextual clues when reviewing evidence during the editing process, especially if you are aware of the historical context pertaining to time period (1895) and location (Ann Stevens House). 


The paranormal puzzle assembled from the events of this sessions is astounding. After the initial activity that took place in the parlour that seemingly encouraged us to perform automatic writing by turning on a flashlight and then an EMF lantern separately (see previous reel Paranormal Activity in The Parlour), the owner of the home provided Gina of @shehaunts with a sketchbook and we were quickly underway. 


My interpretation of the events is outlined in this video. Once automatic writing is initiated, a statement comes through. “You are open.” is My interest is piqued (I literally whipped my head back so fast) when hearing the phrase “Find me” followed by “Threshold”. A drawing of a mat in front of a door is produced. 


The Alice Box produced the name “GEORGE”(George Colby is the founder of the camp) immediately followed by “CLOTHES”. 


Gina then states: You can walk, Find me, Threshold, Over on the chair (it’s a male voice). Something seems to want us to find it, moving towards chair and front door at the base of the stairs. The Estes culminates in a loud noise upstairs. On play back you can hear 3 “bangs” in succession “bang, bang, bang”, fading as if something topples over and falls. Listening more, it almost sounds like a knocking or banging with a fist. Perhaps even moving, shaking, or bumping into furniture. (Time Stamp 2m 12s: Seriously, you should play it over and over.. It’s mind boggling).


I go upstairs to check things out, and Emily (owner) and Josh come with me. I hesitate to ascend, then Gina says, “Gonna miss it.” I hightail it upstairs. Gina continues with the Estes session downstairs while we try to find anything to explain the noise. ~3 minutes later, Gina says, “THRESHOLD” again, and immediately after, you can hear Josh (upstairs with me) in a state of shock. Upon entering the bedroom at the top of the stairs to the left, he believes something has just passed in front of him from the closet (previously a trunk room- victorian luggage that contained CLOTHING) into a bedroom. This bedroom is directly above the parlour, where we heard the loud noise. 


The timing of her saying “THRESHOLD” for a second time and his reaction has me stunned. Skeptically, I assigned the experience to his eyes adjusting to the room when he turned on the light, (you can even hear my attempts to brush it off when I tell him “Hold on hold on”) but after reviewing this entire experience, I hesitate to chalk it up as a mere coincidence. The timing of the events and historical context, along with the inability to debunk the noise are hard to ignore from a paranormal perspective. 


It was only after this happened Emily told us previous guests have heard what sounds like furniture moving when they are either upstairs or downstairs and no one else is in the home.
