The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has introduced separate scholarships to promote technical examination in India. Along with scholarships for girls students pursuing technical degrees or diplomas, now scholarships are also available for boys students pursuing masters in technical education.

Scholarships have also been announced for the year 2020-21. Students doing MTech, ME, MArch and MPharma can apply for this scholarship.

Under this scheme, scholarships of Rs 12,400 will be given every month for two years to eligible students of a college accredited by AICTE.

Who can apply:

Students of AICTE accredited institute, college or department or students of AICTE recognized programs like MTech, ME, MArch and MPharma

Regular Course Students

Students must have valid GATE / GPAT score at the time of admission

How to apply:

Step 1: Student's Identity Card - Students have to get their unique ID...through the link in the description box below.

Step 2: Once registered, you can fill the online application form.

Step 3: Fill in the required information and upload all the required documents. What documents are required - Scanned PDF copy of GATE / GPAT score, caste certificate, bank passbook, and Aadhaar card (Students of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam do not need to provide Aadhaar card)

Step 4: After filling the form, the information of the candidate enrolled in M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch will have to be authenticated by the concerned institute through GATE in the academic year 2020-21.

Step 5: After the institution certifies all the information, the scholarship amount will be credited to the student's account.

The last date to certify the information of the candidates is 31 December 2020 and the scholarship will be given to the students from the date of their admission or commencement of classes.

Important things:

This scholarship will be given to those students who are not getting any scholarship, salary or stipend from any other institution.
Students who wish to apply for this must have a savings bank account and that too with the same name as their student ID.
It is compulsory for every post-graduate student to participate in the teaching or research activity given by his / her institute 8 to 10 hours a week.
Students cannot leave the course in between.
