Описание к видео Minneapolis Symphony 1947 Bizet’s Children’s Games

Assistant conductor for the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra Yves Chardon conducts the Symphony in a performance of Georges Bizet’s Children’s Games (Jeux d'enfants) on December 2nd, 1947.

This performance was part of a Young Person’s Concert with Northrup Auditorium at the University of Minnesota fully packed with kids from the twin cities area. It was broadcast on KUOM, the University’s radio station - though Reynolds Marchant made a reel directly from the feed to the radio station, resulting in this good quality recording.
