Cost of Living Paraguay 2025: My Real Grocery Bill (Picanha, Avocados, Milk)

Is Paraguay cheap? Let's find out. In this video, I take you on a typical weekend grocery run in Asunción to show you the real cost of living in Paraguay in 2025. No theory, no guessing—just real products, real supermarket prices, and a full breakdown of my receipt in both Paraguayan Guaraní (PYG) and US Dollars (USD).

What's Inside This Grocery Haul:

Meat: Picanha (around $10/kg) & second-grade minced beef with higher fat content.
Produce: Giant avocados (around 700g for under $2), tomatoes, and pre-packaged salad.
Dairy: Butter, and a special iron-fortified milk ($1/liter deal).
Pantry: Instant coffee, tomato extract, and a taste test of different hot sauces (including Sriracha).
And more: Hamburger buns, burger patties, and even a bottle of Chilean wine.
I break down the cost of each item and even compare some of the prices to what you might pay back in Sweden or other parts of Europe. The goal is to give you a transparent look at the real food prices in Asunción.
