Trap Affirmations (Trust No One) is a cinematic noir short film told entirely in reverse.

This black and white 90s crime-inspired visual follows a fallen gangster as his life rewinds from death back to birth. Bullets return to guns. Blood pulls back into wounds. Betrayals undo themselves. Crime scenes un-happen. Love fades backward. Childhood reappears. And in the final moments, existence itself reverses.

Shot in a gritty analog style with heavy film grain, harsh chiaroscuro lighting, and muppet-style puppet characters, the film blends street realism with surreal storytelling. Every movement runs in reverse to expose the cycle of violence, loyalty, paranoia, and consequence. The environment is alive — rain falls upward, smoke inhales itself, money flies back into bags, and the past slowly erases the present.
