WTF happened to the screen!?! I'm all squishy looking! oh well.

So first off you're probably wondering "What's this!?! Why are you using Poco now?"
Well there's a completely logical explanation for this.....*long pause*
Oh you want to know what the completely logical explanation is? Of course you do...

Well actually the explanation may not be "logical" but there is one. Yesterday we found out Smokey's been tying up. Up until now we've never had to deal with a horse that ties up so it was all new to us and at first, we had no idea what was going on. It all started at my last 4-H meeting when Smokey started crow hopping a little and kicking out with his hind leg. I knew immediately that something was bothering him because it just wasn't like him to act like that, he just doesn't have that kind of a personality. Later, after my meeting I noticed Smokey had peed so I just figured that's what was causing his behavior. Just to be safe I gave him a day of rest then yesterday I got him back out to ride. I decided to ride for fun and give Smokey a break from training. But as soon as I asked him for a walk he began his kicking and crow hopping antics again. This concerned me deeply (like I said before he's just not usually like that), so I got off and led him around. After putting him away my frustration overflowed. EVERY single year I have a new horse, at the EXACT same time period something happens and I have to give up their training. For instance, last year it was about this time, just a few weeks before fair, that Panda began his bucking shit. My mom keeps telling me it's just a coincidence, but I don't know, it just seems too unlikely.

Anyway, we called the vet today and told him Smokey's symptoms and the vet suggested that he may be tying up and told us to take him in for a blood check. So Smokey has himself a doctor's appointment on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not anything more serious (after all I've had horrible luck in the past but that's a story for a different time).
So that's what's up with Smokey.

Poco update! So obviously since Smokey's out of work for a while I decided it would be best if I took Poco to my dressage lesson today. I was prepared for any antics he may throw my way because after all, I hadn't ridden him in months and...well its Poco, you can't ever expect a perfect ride on Poco (but alas I love him). However, that little pony surprised me today. He showed me that he always has an extra shoulder for me to lean on and I can always fall back on him if I need to. I stepped right into that arena like a pro, he gave me back that piece of the confidence I was lacking. I swear every time I ride this horse it's like the rest of the world slows down and it's just me and him. It's almost like he can read my mind. He knows exactly when I need him the most.
