Scene: Vor Aufgang der Sonne kommen allmorgendlich die "Weißen-Ritter" mit den Jünglingen und Knaben von der Burg für ihr Bad und Meditation zum Fluss.
Dann reiten sie für den Tag gestärkt im Morgenrot singend zurück.
Und ihr Lied, über die Felder und Dörfer klingend, weckt das Volk. Und so manche Seele trinkt sehnend das Bild Ihrer Shilouetten auf den Hügeln vor der aufgehenden Sonne -
einer von ihnen zu sein!

Morgensonne lächelt auf mein Land
Wälder grünen her in dunklem Schweigen
Jedem Schatten bin ich nah verwandt
Jedes Leuchten nimmt mich ganz zu eigen

Land, mein Land, wie leb ich tief aus dir
Löst sich doch kein Hauch von diesen Lungen
den du nicht zuvor und jetzt und hier
erst mit deinem Hauche hast durchdrungen

Deine Berge ragen in mir auf
Deine Täler sind in mich gebettet
Deiner Ströme, deiner Bäche Lauf
ist an alle Adern mir gekettet

Steht kein Baum auf deiner weiten Flur
der nicht Heimat wiegt mit allen Zweigen
Und in jedem Winde läuft die Spur
einer Liebe, der sich alle neigen

Scene: Every morning before the sun rises, the "white knights" come with the youths and boys from the castle to the river for their bath and meditation.
Then they ride back, strengthened for the day, singing in the dawn.
And their song, ringing across the fields and villages, awakens the people. And many souls longingly drinking the picture of their silhouettes on the hills in front of the rising sun -
to become one of them!
