Telenor Sverige, one of Sweden’s largest telecom providers and operators, launched their annual campaign a few months ago. Calling it a mere campaign would be an understatement, it is a witness to the passage of time.

Titled “Missed Calls”, the narrative tails a young man’s life who spends the rest of his days in the memory of his deceased mother, listening to that single voicemail over and over again… but life goes on, right?

The story is told tenderly, much like a mother’s embrace itself, as it communicates two unmissable messages––not only does it reassure us that life continues to be beautiful despite irredeemable losses but also positions itself as the bridge that leads us to this confrontation and reconciliation.

All throughout the cinematic recital, a sombre music, slowly but steadily reaching its crescendo, lingers to immerse us further in the life of the young man, truly putting us in his shoes.
