There are two constants in life: death and taxes. Avoiding the latter tends to lead to the former. The IRS does not play games. For those who want their own power outside of the constant looming threat of the government, the simple answer is crime. If you create your own power system, then you can impose that power separate from other governing bodies. Of course, that's not without its own consequences and makes you a target. In addition, you can’t just do what the feds do in basic terms. You need to have the risky stuff that others won’t touch, such as gambling, drinking, and another form of violence to challenge the authorities. High risk, high reward. There’s a strong allure from independence and strength, but the federal government isn’t going to just let it happen. Who wants to roll the dice regardless and see if it works out?

Deadlock is an upcoming third-person shooter and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Valve. The game features two teams with six players, with the goal being to destroy the enemy "patron", a floating orb entity. Initially known as Neon Prime, Deadlock was first leaked to the public in May 2024 while its Steam page was published in August. It has since remained an invite-only game, reaching a concurrent player count of over 160,000 in September 2024.

The Six Heroes update was made on the 18th of August 2025 and had introduced the new characters of Mina, Victor, The Doorman, Drifter, Paige and Billy.
