10th Muse Coffee shop is not your typical coffee spot. As the name implies, they seek to inspire customers to enjoy the fun experiences in life, stay fit, and save our environment. Sounds ambitious? How can a coffee shop do so much? Let’s start with the fun. The shop itself is in a brightly painted warehouse selling refurbished furniture. Inside the coffee shop section are board games, the tables are made with chalkboard so you can create art while you sip coffee or snack. They offer intriguing and indulgent drinks like their famous Nutella latte, a cookie butter latte, and other themed drinks such as Harry Potter’s butterbeer latte. Wait, then how does this relate to fitness?!? Just because you indulge every now and then, doesn’t mean you neglect your body. 10th Muse offers a $1.50 off any of their specialty drinks in exchange for doing 10 burpees. That’s right, do 10 burpees in the store (a quick fitness exercise) and get a discount on your drink. Finally, 10th Muse values our environment, they do not use any plastic in their outgoing flatware and cups. Instead they have biodegradable cornstarch and recycled paper. The cornstarch products look like plastic but simply melt into the earth when they are thrown away. How cool is that? 10th Muse Coffee Shop not only makes the coffee experience fun, but they inspire others to enjoy life, take care of their bodies, and this earth.
