Filmed at home December 2023. Dave Douglass has fought harder than most in the class struggle for over half a century. Widely published, his many books and articles continue to divide opinion. His ideas stem from anarchist, syndicalist and communist principles.

This short interview illuminates the issue of the national ballot during the 1984 miners’ strike, the absence of which is often used to undermine the legitimacy and popularity of the strike. The 84 / 85 strike is today remembered as one the defining moments in the history of class war in Great Britain.

As well as the topics included here, Dave spoke at length about Irish Republicanism, his involvement with Sinn Fein, the EU and more recent events in the Labour Party, but we kept the film short.
