Farthest Frontier is a survival city builder game that reminds me of the old settlers games. It was created by Crate Entertainment (the makers of Grim Dawn), and got out of early access in late 2025. This is the 3rd city I'm building in this game, and I'm trying out, for the first time, the maximum difficulty level: Vanquisher.

I try to explain my thought processes and the strategies I go for which are particularly crucial in the early game where increasing you population is of the utmost importance. So, I try to "speedrun" 3 of the game's goals to boost my villagers as early as possible. This video includes footage of the early-game of my settlement starting from year 1 until year 9. This playthrough will be continued in a future video.

This is NOT an "ironman" run btw. I thought that "ironman" in this game meant the same as in the doom and X-COM communities (basically, no save-scumming), but in the farthest frontier community "ironman" is a specific challenge with special options that I did not activate in this game. Sorry for the confusion!
