Cassian is held prisoner while the conflict amongst the Maya Pei Brigade worsens, with the group splitting into two factions at a stalemate. On Mina-Rau, Imperial officers arrive to audit all the workers' papers, and Bix, Brasso, and Wil arrange to be sent to a different part of the planet to avoid discovery. Meanwhile, Dedra and Syril, who are now a couple moved in together, prepare for a social event they have been putting off. Mon Mothma discusses the possibility of Tay Kolma's defection with Luthen, who says they should attempt to ascertain Kolma's price for keeping silent about the Rebellion. As the preparations for Leida's wedding conclude, Cassian is able to slip away from his captors when they are distracted with a territorial challenge and flees the planet, revealed to be Yavin IV, in the stolen TIE Avenger.
