Diamond Jay will spin it

Описание к видео Diamond Jay will spin it

To all my Turntablist/DJ heads out there. I know this is a touchy subject to talk about but I gotta ask, why has the trend in Turntablism been syntheticity as opposed to organicity? I'm just asking here...

Why are there battle DJs choosing to pre-produce about 70 % of the work they should be doing live on stage beforehand in their battle sets, versus performing their routines in the most authentic way possible?

At some point throughout the day, take some time out of your schedule to watch this video clip above. It's of my fellow X-men comrade DJ Diamond (Diamond Jay to me) performing. There is absolutely nothing altered about his set. Diamond is using ACTUAL songs here. His performance is as real as the air you breath into your lungs this very moment. It's so REAL that he even makes mistakes.

Yeah, THERE IS ACTUAL HUMAN ERROR IN HIS ROUTINE. It's not PERFECT! It's IMPERFECT, OMG!

There are actual moments that make you laugh. At other times you catch a mistake a think "oh man, how is he gonna recover...?" YOU ACTUALLY FEEL EMOTIONAL AS YOU WATCH HIS SET...

Therefore making his performance HUMAN...

Stop the presses, Diamond is actually up there HONESTLY expressing his skill level to his audience. He's not "just another brick on the wall" (Pink Floyd, do the knowledge).

Again, why are some Turntablist today being so blatantly disingenuous in their presentation of their Battle sets? Don't we all deserve to see and hear the truth?
