Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that anti-minority comments made by people were uncalled for and he would not tolerate discrimination against any community. “The constitution guarantees religious freedom to every citizen and that is not negotiable,” the PM said in an interview to the news agency UNI. Speaking to news agency ANI, the Prime Minister said, "Sab ka saath, sab ka vikas. We stand for each of the 1.25 billion Indians regardless of caste or creed and we will work for the progress of each of them. Every faith in our country has equal rights; it is equal not only before the law but also before society"
The Prime Minister also spoke to the agency about the NDA’s first year and hit out at his detractors. The PM said that the good days had arrived but some people were trying to belittle the work done by the government. The PM also expressed satisfaction over the performance of the government and that a clean, transparent and efficient government had been given to the country.
