Mark Dance's Columbia and Western is an operating N scale model of the Canadian Pacific (CP) Boundary Subdivision in eastern British Columbia. In this video, Mark and his son give us a quick overview of the layout, run a train up over a snow-covered mountain pass, and show us some of the moving gates, the "double mushroom" design and other operating features of interest. Mark's layout has been featured in many magazine articles, including last year's Model Railroad Planning annual. A link to his latest video about engine terminal operations is included at the end. Mark has hosted many operating sessions on his layout and uses Timetable and Train Order (TT&TO) operating rules.
