From Topper to IIT, PSU, MS & NITI Aayog | Working abroad - Conversation - challenges, depression in foreign countries, JOB Roles | Future of mechanical engineering and Industry 4.0 in India and Foreign countries
In today’s episode, I’m excited to welcome Animesh Prakash, who currently serves as a Global Operations Manager at Chal-Tec GmbH, a leading European e-commerce firm based in Germany. Animesh’s life journey is nothing short of inspiring and diverse—a story of resilience, exploration, and adaptability.
From being a school topper who cracked IIT to working in a PSU, pursuing his MS abroad, and gaining extensive professional experience across multiple countries, Animesh has truly seen it all. His journey even brought him back to India for a significant role at NITI Aayog, only for him to take yet another leap and return to Germany, where he continues to make his mark today.
In this episode, we dive deep into Animesh’s unique life experiences: the intense pressures and competition of IIT, the challenges of adapting to foreign lands, the mental health struggles he faced, and navigating phases of depression that often accompany major life transitions. We also discuss his impressive professional journey—covering roles in supply chain management, process engineering, and statistical analytics, and his insights into the future of mechanical engineering with the rise of Industry 4.0.
Throughout the conversation, Animesh reflects on the cultural and lifestyle differences he encountered while living and working across diverse countries, and shares valuable lessons from his time in both Indian and international organizations, including his pivotal roles at NITI Aayog and PSU giant BHEL.
Animesh’s story is a testament to perseverance, learning, and constant evolution, and I’m thrilled to share his insights and experiences with you.
