This demo pulls an alias on a directory and copies the source directories to the aliased folder. Dolphin is then invoked with the alias folder having the focus. The source directory is in the unfocused tab.

This is a great way to isolate files and / or directories for heavy editing work. Aliased files and folders can be thought of as being throwaways. These can be trashed and destroyed to your heart's content, and a fresh alias can be created on the fly. The primary idea of Destructive Editing is to always work on a copy of Production and never on Production itself. Only after said work is done and tested in isolation, can the finished product be moved to production. This is Part 1 of a discussion on various Destructive Editing topics.
