It’s pumpkin season! So let’s make a skin brightening pumpkin mask 🎃

I pick my pumpkin, wash it, cut the top and remove the seeds and meat (save the seeds for roasting!)

I leave the skin on for extra nutrients but you can always remove it. You can roast the pumpkin or steam, I chose to steam for this recipe (steaming helps preserve the pumpkins, natural antioxidants, and vitamins).

After steaming for about 30 min I remove and end.put into a food processor (or you could put in a blender or mashed my hand).

Next I add the remaining ingredients:

🍯 Honey is a powerhouse for skin! It helps pigmentation, reduce acne, is a natural humectant meaning it helps draw moisture into the skin, and so much more!

🍋 Lemon is another one of those super foods for the skin! It is skin, lightening, great for acne, antibacterial, an antifungal!

🍠 Tumeric is a natural skin brightened as well making this mask a triple threat for hyperpigmentation!

Mix all ingredients together into a beautiful paste and apply to properly prepped skin! Never apply a facemask onto dry skin because your skin will not draw these. Amazing ingredients in otherwise!

I increase the effect of this mask using steam! If you don’t have a steam machine at home, you can always use a pot of boiling water, and carefully draping a towel over your head while receiving the steam… it just gives the mask that little extra something!
