Proper exposure can be challenging for scenes with high dynamic range, and a small mistake can prove costly in the final outcome. As landscape and outdoor photographers, we spend a lot of time shooting in these difficult conditions when the light is best at the start or end of the day, but the difference between the foreground and sky can be significant.

I've posted videos on how to expose for the right (like I do here) and how to do an HDR blend (not needed on most newer full-frame cameras). This video shows how I do it live in the field and manually adjust the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to get the best possible exposure.
