Significant steps towards sustainability in Pakistan | Fozia Tahir | TEDxLahore

Dr. Fozia’s talk focuses on the extent of microplastic pollution in Pakistan, its impact and the small and significant steps that can be taken to reverse and manage this damage. Dr Fozia is currently serving as a post-doctorate and an adjunct faculty member at the Centre for Water Informatics and Technology (WIT) at LUMS. Dr Fozia completed her DPhil in Engineering science from the University of Oxford in 2018 in the field of wastewater treatment. Her post-doctoral research has focused on microplastic pollution quantification and its removal from the environment. She is also working with a waste scavenging community in Lahore to understand and improve their role in waste management. One of her ongoing projects also focuses on climate-smart agriculture and climate technologies in Pakistan.
