Lioness jumps off Crocodile bridge after her cub in Kruger National Park

We just entered the Crocodile bridge gate at the Kruger National Park and found a lioness on the bridge acting strange. We had no idea of what was actually happening and were puzzled at the behavior of the lioness and couldn't believe it when she jumped into the river. We found out afterwards that her two cubs were swimming across the river to her and that she was trying to ward off a croc that was baring down on them. The moment the croc crabbed one of the little cubs I took my eye off the viewfinder to look at the splash in the water and unfortunately didn't follow her jumping in. If only we knew what actually happened we could've captured something spectacular!
