We spent an incredible day in Warrington celebrating local heritage with Nashville duo Lost Hollow, who were guests of the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Mo Hussain, to mark a very special musical homecoming.

Lost Hollow have recorded a stunning country version of “Buttermarket”, an original song from the 1970s written and first performed by The Poacher, one of Warrington’s own. Written by Peter “Sarge” Frampton, the song recently reached No. 2 on the European Country Radio Charts — a remarkable resurgence that’s brought new life to a local classic. Pete himself was there to share in the celebrations, visibly delighted by the success of the new version and the recognition it’s bringing to the town.

The day saw a warm civic welcome at the Town Hall before a memorable evening performance, with RachelWarwick— long-time friend and songwriting collaborator of Lost Hollow — joining the celebrations, along with Andy Green from The Country Show on Radio Warrington and Warrington worldwide , both capturing the story as it unfolded.

Also in attendance were Barretts at Walton Hall & Gardens , where exciting new country music events are planned for 2026, continuing the momentum of this proud moment for Warrington — proving once again that great songs, and great stories, stand the test of time.
