Kanda palak (Emex australis) is emerging as a troublesome weed in semi irrigated north western Punjab. Sporadically found all over Punjab but Khoshab, Sargodha, Mianwali and most northen parts of Thal area are more badly infested with this hard-to-kill weed. Its root system of this enace weed resists herbicides and it is difficult to control in case if addressed at dvanced growth stages in most cases. In this video, we have suggested to control it even at advanced stage. A Yoloo melerum یولومیلیرم16 EC of Arysta lifeScience (carfentrazone plus tribenuron) @ 300 ml/acre may be sprayed as spot treatment. Its spots on wheat leaves are considered as minor type of phytotoxicity. This herbicide does not allow it to re sprout if applied properly.

Weed control from wheat crop is purely a technical subject that needs a long period of research to make a decision about the usage of a herbicide on a specific crop. Weeds are need to be controlled at an earlier stage because at later stages, it becomes very difficult to control at later stages for some weeds. A proper herbicide must be used with the proper guidance from an expert so that we can control weeds from the field without damaging our crop. Dose of the herbicide and the application method also matters a lot because higher than recommended dose or wrong method of application may severely damage our crop that may not recover or give proper yield. So, it is advised to take suitable guidance from a herbicide professional to use them on crops.

Proper use of herbicide and control of weeds may surely lead to higher production and better health and growth of plants because herbs will not use the added precious nutrients.
