Описание к видео Behind the Lens: Embracing Zak

Living with FASD is an educational and human interest show for those living with the effects of prenatal exposure to alcohol, their loved one and anyone interested in learning more about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, brought to you by someone with both professional and living experience with FASD.

In this week's episode of "Living with FASD," host Patti Kasper welcomes Clio Award-winning Director/ Producer/Photographer Joel Sheagren brings 30 years of international production experience and 20 years of FASD parenting experience to the Embraced project. He is a renowned voice in furthering FASD research and education. He discusses his personal connection to FASD through the adoption of his son and daughter, both affected by prenatal alcohol exposure.

Joel's story highlights the importance of understanding, supporting, and advocating for those with FASD. Tune in to learn about his innovative Embraced Project, which is a multimedia effort to raise awareness of FASD, including a documentary and a feature film. The first element of this project, already available, is the novel, Embracing Zak, by our dear friend Jodee Kulp.

You can Joel and the Embraced Project at the following sites, where you can donate toward production costs of this feature film, by which you can help bring FASD awareness to a broad audience.

If you would like to talk with me about coaching services, either as a parent of a child with FASD, or as a neurodivergent adult (perhaps by listening you’ve begun to question if prenatal alcohol exposure could explain some of your struggles in life), please reach out to me here for a complimentary consultation: https://calendly.com/kaspertrainingan...

Also, full disclosure, the following is an affiliate link, by which my sponsor, Curious Elixirs, will support the work of Living with FASD. Many of us affected by FASD would rather enjoy booze-free beverages. Curious Elixirs was voted by the NY Times as “Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks” 4 years in a row. They are infused with organic plant-based adaptogens, or mood boosters, that benefit your body. These drinks are bold, fun and refreshing, with no artificial or synthetic flavors. The adaptogens will meet your needs on week nights or weekends without the harmful or toxic effects of alcohol. They even come with recommendations for garnishes! If you’re on a journey away from alcohol or merely searching for a sophisticated alternative to tea or carbonated beverages, go here: https://curiouselixirs.pxf.io/c/55689...

As always, thank you for tuning in this week. Please consider liking/subscribing/sharing this podcast. Have a wonderful week!

Until next Monday,
