Big Slick, Children's Mercy & Pediatric Cancer Research - The Lead with Jake Tapper

This piece is an amazing example of how our Big Slick KC guests take their experiences at Big Slick and at Children's Mercy and go back to their lives while continuing to help further the mission of Big Slick; to help provide critical funding for pediatric cancer research.

A mere 4% of government funding for cancer research is aimed at kids, so places such as Children's Mercy have to rely extensively on private funding and events like Big Slick.

The Big Slick Celebrity Weekend is an annual fundraising event hosted by some of Kansas City's most famous funny characters and their friends. Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, David Koechner, Eric Stonestreet and Heidi Gardner come together each year to raise money for Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Since its inception in 2010 Big Slick has raised more than $21 million dollars for pediatric cancer research.
