Описание к видео Why the Revolution: What Kind of Tea was Dumped in the Boston Harbor?

In December 1773, members of the Sons of Liberty boarded a tea ship, broke open 342 chests, and dumped approximately 90,000 pounds of East India Company tea into the Boston Harbor in protest of the controversial Tea Act. The event would come to be known as the Boston Tea Party. What kind of tea was dumped into the harbor? Did people drink coffee in the Revolutionary era? The Museum's Dr. Tyler Putman has the answers in this edition of our Why the Revolution Series.
