Here a look to rock crawling from the past. Before Axials, TRX4s and Redcats were in every shop or even though of people were taking other 4wd trucks and customizing them to be rock crawlers. It started off mostly what today is the Open or Modified class of crawlers but were not all CNC machined and had great (or even good geometry in them! These were hand-built creations from garages all over and there were very few plans or instructions to go off of… you just looked at pics of what others had done and started hacking soldering and cussing your way through it to make one of your own. Here is a look at one I made years and years ago with very little budget and no knowledge of what exactly I was doing (that really hasn’t changed too much over the years!!!).
