Welcome to this week's vintage sewing project. I sewed a 1950s double box pleated skirt out of upholstery thrift store material. I originally was going to do a pencil skirt because I am trying to prove that my current sloper is actually accurate. Then I found this delightful dress with this neat pleated concept in the back, and I had to try it. I chopped off the top, made it into a skirt, kept the bow, put in a waistband with a side zipper and button, and am delighted with the result.
