Jupiter lacks the expected 5 point perspective of a real world observer, observing an actual sphere in 3D space. Astronomers observe perfectly "straight storms", never under any angle from a real telescope image, even though this would be expected, if there was actually any perspective to be found in perpendicular light from space. we do "not" observe "mass" directly in space, we observe "light" projected through space, which is then observed ON the edge of our refractive atmosphere, [just like a laser projector needs a projection screen to be able to understand the image] a refractive layer found between ANY two mediums, there where matter actually begins to be, for light to fall onto, and form an image ON, by individual photons, on individual already present around the earth (water droplets / atmospheric lensing) atoms. we do not observe 3D spheres in space directly, we observe a 2D image, a representation of a 3D event, projected by light through space, circles, discs, made of light, forming an image, depicting that what we "assume" to have actual mass. just like when you watch your television, it shows you an image that appears to have depth, but in reality is a flat screen.

Atmospheres do the lensing, as atmospheric matter acts on incoming light, certainly not gravity. Atmospheric conditions also make the ENTIRE universe "appear" to expand, in ALL directions, ALL at the same time, because the ENTIRE atmosphere acts as a single common lens. there are no storms on Jupiter curving around no actual 3D sphere, look closely and compare both images.
