These are my go to settings on my Nikon D850 for photographing birds in flight. I think the best way to improve your bird in flight photography skills is to continually practice and experiment with what works best for your camera. I enjoy using my D850 for bird photography, it has amazing colours, dynamic range and importantly great image quality.
