Here’s our tribute to one of the great movie themes of the 1980s and beyond, "Halloween" by John Carpenter.

In this video, we pay homage to the franchise with nods to Halloween III: Season of the Witch, including the Silver Shamrock logo and its jingle, as well as the masks the band is wearing. It was incredibly fun putting the video together. We used as many practical effects as possible, a basic green screen setup, and wardrobe to try and nail the vibe.

Anything in an odd time signature always catches our ear, and since this is in 5/4, we couldn’t resist seizing the season to put our own spin on it. The main melody lays out beautifully on the 5-string banjo, and adding a driving beat gave it some exciting new energy for us.

The outro features an original piece using the same 5/4 pulse, with subtle nods to spooky favorites like Stranger Things and Thriller.
