A review of the Master Grade RX-178 Gundam Mk-II Version 2.0 (AEUG and Titans) from the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. .

This review is a complete redo of one of my earlier videos. Check my channel for the ‘channel update’ video for info, but basically, I need to re-upload my older videos, so figured why not just redo some of the older ones them with my updated set up. Yep, this is a complete redo, with nothing but the original script, and even that was just as a reference.

Anyway, this review was crazy. The most in-depth review I have ever or will ever do. Here’s the…

-- Production Notes for later reference –

- First up, this review was done in small burst over a 2-month period. I dislike doing that but had too much going on to set aside a week to make this. As such, I had this done BEFORE the Wing Zero review. I felt it would be a let down for my come back after 2 months to be a re-done review.

- Despite making, and uploading this first, I actually took it down 2 weeks after the Wing Zero, to re-upload. I made a new title card, and lowered the background music. So slight improvement. I guess that's the benefit of sitting on a video for a few days before dropping it.

- Anyway, the script is an updated version of the original. Lots of tweaks of course though.

- I got all the footage first. I knew that was going to be hard part with 2 suits to review. But sure enough, I don’t remember the video being that taxing. Pretty sure I knocked it out in a night or two.

- The audio is what got me. I just kept pushing it off. I think it shows with some of the cut in audio sounding way off from previously recorded stuff. Really need to do all the audio in one sit down. No exceptions!

- The editing is where this review really steps up. I tried so many new things here. This was improvement. Honestly, this review took 3-4 sessions to finish. Here’s a brief list of new edits.

- Cropping was big. Before this I would take each insert shot, import into Photoshop, cut it out, then import as a new still image. This time around, I cropped it Premiere. It made the encoding time take longer, but I feel its more streamlined method.

- The quad decal shot was the hardest. But I think it really looks good. I even did some background transparency stuff. Really happy how it turned out. My CPU isn’t though, getting hung up on that in encoding every time lol.

- I upped the number of split shots from the GP01FB. With this being a review of 2 kits simultaneously, it was bound to happen. Lucky, I learned how to do it in the previous review.

- I decided to decrease the contrast in this review. Both in stills and my color adjustment layer. I just think it looks better. Don’t know why. Reminds me of old Super Sentai footage for some reason, the washed-out aesthetic.

- I’d probably have a lot more to write, but this is too long and I’ve forgot a lot over this 2-month production time. So, uh, just compare to the original MkII review and you be the judge lol

Finally, here’s the sick jamz I’ve been listening to over this 2 month period:
