In this second devotion from the Gospel according to John, we continue our 366 Days Devotions series by exploring what can be called “the hour of the Holy Trinity.” This is not an hour of time, but a divine moment revealed in John 1:3:
“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.”

Having already reflected on Jesus as the Logos, today’s devotion takes us deeper into the truth of Christ’s preexistence and His active role in creation. Scripture makes it clear that the Messiah was present in the beginning—not as a created being, but as the eternal Son through whom all things came into existence.

When we look back to Genesis 1, we see the Trinity at work:
-God the Father speaking creation into being
-God the Spirit hovering over the waters
-God the Son present in the divine “Let us make man in our image”

From Genesis to John, the Bible consistently reveals Father, Son, and Holy Spirit united in the work of creation. The Apostle Paul affirms this truth in Colossians 1:15–16, declaring Jesus as the image of the invisible God, through whom all things were created—visible and invisible.

No other figure in history can make such a claim. Christ alone stands as Lord of creation, equal with the Father, yet willing to humble Himself and come to earth for our salvation.
