'The Cotswolds Bigger Brother'

Today was for me personally the toughest physical day on the trail so far. The saving grace however, was that the scenery and vistas were incredible and reminded me so much of my home in the Cotswolds, albeit their more expansive bigger brother!
My decision to take the longer, safer, yet more challenging optional 'Ruta Pradela' came at a cost, hence as I arrived in O'Cebreiro after more than 10 hours on an exceptionally HOT autumnal day I was exhausted, thus sadly I was unable to appreciate this little gem perched at 1300m and home to the oldest church 'Santa Maria La Real on the entire Camino Frances, dating back to 836...
There was however, a silver lining because as the sun went down a glorious new full moon appeared which would provide a beacon of light on the trail the following morning!
