MAC It’s Designer Art Library Palette ($48.00 for 0.60 oz., product purchased) contains a mix of brighter mattes and pops of shimmery color along with a medium black. The mattes are firmer, stiffer, and better for building up color but when it comes to deriving really electric color on the lid, they’re not as pigmented as needed to do so. The shimmers were less consistent but most of them were under-performing due to pigmentation and texture. I could make it work for the most part (though my looks weren't as blended as I wanted), but at this price point, it shouldn't be necessary.

P.S. -- I'm trying to learn some video editing and, hopefully, will get more proficient at transitions and adding a lil' more to these quick product overviews and may incorporate voiceovers in the future. I'm experimenting with trying to use some of the content that's already available in blog format to make it more accessible on YouTube, but I can't balance both full-on YouTube videos and full-on blogging (which is 60-80/hours a week presently, and I'm always behind!). I'm hoping there's value in reviews that focus on the "meat" of a review.
