Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Coleman-Mach MarineMach 13,500 BTU ducted air conditioner system with this textured white cover. So as you probably know, one of the biggest headaches with Marine climate systems is figuring out which parts are compatible. This kit is going to help solve that for you. This AC unit comes with this air distribution box and thermostat, and all of these components are made to work together, so installation's gonna be smoother and nothing's gonna catch you off guard. So whether you're installing this yourself or having it done somewhere else, having someone else install it for you, it's gonna be one less thing to worry about.
Now this system is made for boat cabins with ducted air with 13,500 BTUs of cooling power. This system's gonna move air through your ceiling ducts to bring the temperature down quickly and evenly throughout the space. Inside the unit are large coils and airflow boosting fins that are gonna help pull the heat out efficiently so your RV stays cooler with less strain on the system. This is a durable construction. As I mentioned, this is a plastic textured white cover, so it's somewhat flexible, so it's not like brittle where it's just going to break because of a impact.
It feels like it's durable, it's gonna hold up really well for you. The unit itself, such as like the frame is a baked enamel finish and then the fan motors epoxy coated and then the flexible hoses. Everything is going to resist salt, salt spray, and seasonal exposure. So this has been designed for marine life. Now just giving you some measurements here, looking at the overall length from end to end, we're sitting pretty close to 38 inches long.
The overall width is gonna be right about 26 inches wide and this is considered like a mid profile air conditioner. So the height's about 13 and a half inches. This is gonna work on opening sizes that are 14 and a quarter by 14 and a quarter inches. And the air distribution box is going to give you direct or ducted airflow. You're going to open up the louvers here for cool air straight down into the cabin, or you can close them to push the air through the ducts, the existing ducts in your boat.
And these do feature these easy reach grills are gonna pop open so you can remove and rinse out the washable filters. That's gonna help keep air moving efficiently. And this has a low profile design. Lemme just kind of show you what this might look like here in the ceiling. So as you can see, it's not going to stick down far at all. I think about an inch and a half or so that it's going to stick down. So it's not gonna take up a whole lot of headroom. And talking about measurements, looking at the overall width here, we're sitting right at about 19 inches wide. The overall length, 20 inches long. And as I'm sure you saw here, this does include everything else that you see here. The hardware, the control box, which is basically the brains of the operation. The bolt for the installation of the air conditioner, and the air distribution box wiring. And then this also comes with this thermostat. It's gonna have easy temperature control. This simple digital thermostat's gonna let you adjust the settings on this air conditioner. Has a clear backlit display. The screen's gonna be easy to read day or night, so you're not gonna be fumbling around with buttons in the dark. This is about four inches tall, two and a half inches wide, and about an inch thick. So this does come with hardware to get this mounted on the wall as well. Now something I did want to mention is this system does use the R32 refrigerant, that new R32 refrigerant meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So all that to say because of that, this is not going to be backwards compatible with systems from 2024 and earlier because of that refrigerant. So that's why this kit is so great because everything is designed to work with that R32 refrigerant. So if you have any other existing components that's not compliant with the R32 refrigerant, this will not be backwards compatible with that, just so you're aware of that.
