Making a resistant STAND for the FIFIE ship model
As this is an RC model I wanted to make a good old resistant stand that can hold the boat pretty tight and can be transported without hassle.
The base as you can see it's huge and it is a 70x30x2cm pine wood
I then finished the base for the model with a mixture of straw oil and white petrol.
The white Petrol is useful to speed up the absorbing process of the oil. The straw oil gives more saturation to the wood and gives also the nutrients and protection it needs. The straw oil is a natural finish, it is easy to apply and the end result enhances the quality of the wood.
