Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.

These are the times of Earth right from the start
At the beginning fact bacteria, algae chart
And we're not sure how
Pre-Cambrian start at creation
87% of notation
Paleozoic Era next periods made of six parts

Cambrian now, invertebrates, trilobites
Ordovician- early fish and animals will rise
But many will die
Silurian- land plants and insects
Devonian -- cone plants, fish with legs
Carboniferous- tropical forest, amphibians evolve
But reptiles are coming
Permian period last of the time
Insects, reptiles ignite
Most sea animal, amphibians will die, will die, yeah

Triassic period- crocodiles, palm trees derive
Dinosaurs evolve
Jurassic, first birds on the Earth
Largest dinosaurs roaming, mammals on the Earth
Flowering plants but Cretaceous times were hard
All dinosaurs will die
Cenozoic modern time
Tertiary --primates
Quaternary- humans took the stage, the stage, yeah
