Why didn't Asgard flee like the Ancients?

In the Stargate Universe, both the Asgard and the Ancients were highly advanced races, yet their actions were different when it came to their response to a threats. When faced with the rise of the Ori, the Ancients chose to leave their original galaxy and eventually seeded life in the Milky way. In contrast, the Asgard remained in their home galaxy even as the replicators threatened their existence.
While both races' existences were being threatened. Their conflicts were different, the Ancients were fleeing from different factions from their own race while Asgard stood united against an external threat.
The Ancients didn’t want to get in a destructive conflict with their own people over philosophical and religious differences. They chose to flee their own galaxy and find a new home. The Asgard on the other hand were in survival mode and chose to fight to the end which became their downfall. The main problem with Asgard was their rigid beliefs, it took them a long time to realize that by continually deploying more powerful vessels with the same generic strategy, they were only making their enemy stronger. Had they chosen to isolate themselves from the Replicators or flee, they might have been able to devote more time to halting their DNA from degrading and possibly develop a better plan to defeat the Replicators. In other words, live to fight another day.
