— This is an introduction to TChart
— a cycle time charting and simulation program.

TChart is similar in logic to the critical path
method, but unlike CPM, TChart is specifically
designed to work with repetitive tasks.

TChart features the calculation and depiction of
slack, which we define as the amount of time
an element can be increased without increasing
the cycle time of a work cell. This helps you
focus on the work content of the critical
(zero slack) time elements of a work cell,
which if reduced would reduce the cycle time.

This program is not for sale.
We offer an email based service.

For a chart, from your base data, we
produce a .BMP file depicting the timing and
sequence of operations of your work cell.

A demo chart appears to the right. In this demo,
the color scheme is according to criticality, but it
could easily be changed to entity specific colors.

For a simulation, from the same base data
and a simple VBA Excel module which defines
run control and elemental times which are
variable, we produce an Excel workbook
which contains statistics related to cycle time.
