Vaginismus is nothing but tightening of the vaginal when there is no penetration. Most common cause is physiological because they have the fear, childhood traauam or any trauma having them cause this tightenen.s.s in this case they need couselign. Other causes can be pathological where it can be due to local infection that has been bothering them for a very long time . When local infection is treated Vaginismus Vaginismus gets resolved and if not most of the reason when all these factors are eliminated and when Vaginismus is extremely tightening of the region. Oflate what we do is we give botox injection that relaxes them and helps them to résumé their life. It is a day care procedures and has excellent results where with 1 sitting it shows a lot of improvement to about 80%. Sometimes Second sitting is also required at an interval of 1 month to see 100% result and they have excellent prognosis and very successful results with botox injection for Vaginismus.
