Troops Rescue Kidnapped Victims In Multiple Stings Across The Country

Alongside the rescue of the Confluence University students, the army mentioned that 17 kidnapped victims regained their freedom in Katsina state after troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, compelling them to abandon the victims.
In a statement, the army said troops received a distress call concerning the abduction of two locals by violent extremists within the Maru Local Government Area.
The extremists were pursued by the troops forcing the kidnappers to flee and abandon the hostages without harm.
