A Lakalaka performed by Adi Lewa Boginisoko and her siblings as part of her final presentation as an Urban Pathways intern working with the Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, University of Cambridge, online collections databases.

The collaborative research project 'Urban Pathways: Fiji. Youth. Arts. Culture.' is funded by the British Academy’s Youth Futures Programme, supported under the UK Government’s Global Challenges Research Fund. Partner institutions include The University of the South Pacific, Pacific Community, VOU Dance Fiji, Fiji Museum and the University of East Anglia. The project aims to identify how urban Fijian youth experience culture and how cultural heritage institutions in Fiji can engage youth while offering viable employment opportunities. The UK Youth Internship with MAA Collections is an offshoot of the Urban Pathways Youth Work Placement Programme in which 15 urban youth in Fiji are working across 3 institutions connected to arts, culture and natural/marine heritage. The UK-based youth engaged with the MAA collections to inform a research project of their choice.
