RavenfieldSteam: battle of midway.

This battle was intended for the Japanese's to draw the remaining American carriers out from pearl harbor and sink them, they already got one at the battle of the coral sea: USS Lexington, but the other one was badly damaged and that was present: USS Yorktown. Admiral Chester Nimitz needed that carrier for the defense of Midway, but it was too badly damaged for battle. there was some good news though: the Americans knew the japs were coming, when and where they would be spotted, but the were off by: 5 degrees, 5 minutes, but the dive bombers still found them them thanks k to a jap destroyer racing to catch up with the fleet. 3 days later, USS hornet and her sister USS Enterprise set sail for midway. during which, they got a pleasant surprise: the Yorktown had been restored to battle ready condition in just three days. but they were still outnumbered with the Japanese's having 4 carriers: hiryu, soryu, Kaga and Akgi., to the three American carriers. in the end: it was a crushing blow to the Japanese's navy, having lost all 4 carriers, while the Americans only lost one: USS Yorktown.
